Withholding the truth

My Word processor objected to the spelling of withold and suggested withhold.

Intrigued I consulted dictionaries and the web.

Sure enough, withhold is right and it is wrong to spell the word with one h. It is two words conjoined and will pronounce incorrectly as wit hold, if one h is suppressed.

Withholding this awesome discovery from you, was not an option.
